First Day Breakdowns, Crushes, and CHASE ATLANTIC

Hi again!

So, as you know, this past Thursday was my first day back to school, (if you didn't...well...you know now) and if I'm being honest, I hated it.

It was harder than I thought having to force myself to enter the building, let alone have to take the bus as a senior. I missed Senior Sunrise because I don't have my car or license yet and I feel so left out and behind, but I can't complain since I did this to myself by procrastinating (don't do that, kids.)

Anyway, the first day wasn't how I wanted it to go. I was fine for an hour, but then the video that they made us watch was recorded and edited in the TV Studio which hurt. Me and one of my friends thought it was done before his passing, but after the club meeting we had we realized it was after, and for some reason that hurt. A lot. I have independent study third period, and I had to walk out after being in there for 5 minutes because I couldn't do it. I don't think I'll be able to again on Monday. This'll be the first full week being back, and not only that, but our first morning show without him. I am upset that I'm not anchoring for the first show of the year, but there's nothing I can really do about that.

As long as I can anchor K's Korner before I leave, I'm happy.

Speaking of which, this '25 grad is leaving high school after the end of the first trimester, which ends in about 2-3 months. My goal is to have a car before then, but it won't happen with the event I'm going to in October. We'll have it before December, though. Trust that.

But the first day wasn't all tears and breakdowns. If anything, one of the (only) good things that came out of it was the fact I'm just now realizing how attractive this one girl in my class is.

She's on the wrestling team and in my homeroom. Granted, she is in a relationship, but even her girlfriend is attractive.

They both are. (Guys, I'm having a gay panic even thinking about it, I can't.)

I had to switch my classes so I could fit my remaining graduation requirements in, so I no longer have first lunch with her, but I still see her in the morning and in homeroom. All I know, is that this is gonna suck.

Like, a lot.

But what doesn't suck is the fact that my all time favorite band, Chase Atlantic, is going on tour and released a new single. They're an Australian band who, for the past 5 years, have really only been touring in Australia and in Europe. They're finally coming to the United States

And guess what?

I'M GOING TO THE DC EVENT!!!

I bought the tickets the day that they dropped, and had their new single DIE FOR ME on repeat since it dropped.

I already have the lyrics memorized, and it just came out on Friday.

Anyways, that's really all I had today.

Oh! Almost forgot! Dallastown won our first home game against Hempfield; 28-9 :)
